Lights Out had great reviews and should have been the Perfect Punch for Fx, but the show's ratings are stumbling. It's tough to be the champ. Or washed up champ. Patrick "Lights" Leary is as loveable as Rocky before the first "Win Rocky Win" speech for Adrian, but unlike Rocky, Lights Leary seems more troubled inside. There is a lot more going on here than boxing which makes for a great drama about a former champ's struggle to raise a family and make ends meet We think It's a knockout but it is up against stiff competition in its time slot and hopefully won't slip through the cracks. FX should give this one some time because it's a great show.
